Hi There,
I have just taken posession of my GT 🥳 and I'm trying to get it registered here in The Netherlands. For this I need to find the VIN which must be stamped on the chassis. I have looked everywhere and the only thing I have found when I have taken off the protective plate on the bottom (at the back) is this which is not accepted as it is tiny.

Can anyone show me where to look. I am at a loss. Thanks!

I don't think it is stamped on the chassis anywhere. The places where you can find it are on the plate riveted to the left side of the dash just behind the windshield lower edge, a sticker on the driver's side door edge, stamped on the transaxle top, and stickers on some other hidden locations such as inside the fenders. Maybe someone else knows about one on the chassis?

My VIN is also stamped on the passenger side firewall, behind the splash shield. Also, on the bottom of rear frame, as you have pictured. There are also VIN stickers on the doors and hood, and maybe some other body parts. Good luck.

I stand corrected, glad to know about the first two ....

Thanks for that info. Much appreciated. So if I understand correctly then the VIN should be behind the splash shield of the wheel where I have drawn the arrow, (see link to picture below). Is that correct?

Wong end of the car. You need to pull the passenger front wheel and remove the plastic wheel well liner. The liner can be a pain to remove, as it is a one piece design. I think the stamping on the firewall is larger then the rear frame. It is in the area the gas filling tube passes thru.
Good luck

You might not need to fully remove the liner. I was able to "rotate" it without fully removing it to access some parts behind the liner. If you do try to remove it be sure to put lots of blue tape on the fender lip as removing it will involve contact with the outside. It's a fairly stiff material so a heater gun will help soften it up. Also be sure that you get all of the screws that hold it in. The very top has one close to the outside that is hard to see if you're not looking for it.
