Taking the 2005 GT out for its run to Canada after being in the barn for 5 weeks really makes you think about how great a car.......some things for newbies if you are lucky enough to own one....
1. After 8,000 miles in 14 days.......always use premium gas.....we did tests from N.Y TO L.A. The fuel cycle runs aprox. every 50 miles or so....
At high speed with the stock set up you do not notice a difference, BUT once you come of the highway, if the fuel is crap, the car will stall in its loop cycle......no codes, no leaks just the computer compensating for crap gas.....One day I will post a report with the GTGUYS from our miles...iM NOT PICKING ON SHELL, BUT FOR SOME REASON,it doesnt like gt's...

2. Until a michelin is invented at the stock size.....Im not sure if it is yet?
THE BRIDGESTONES ARE THE BEST......
5 weeks in the barn, took it for gas and it is so smooooth and quiet.......

3.The shifter on 360 is smooth as butter, smoother than 1314...
All I can say is if the gtguys cant adjust the cables from 2nd gear crash..get new cables, WHAT A DIFFERENCE......

4. Always grease and lube the door gaskets, rubber stoppers on the hood and bonnet.....a huge difference in ride noise and quality........

Last, always keep the car charged, the grounds clean and tight.....so far 360 is perfect and I think that is why everything is so well intacked...

Thanks for the tips. What kind of lubricant do you recommend on the door (etc) gaskets?

Tony, there is a product originally used on mercedes/jag and all the rest around 15 years ago when double insulated doors started popping up. Its a high silicone in clear, not armorall and its not milky.....Its a door /rubber gasket silicon product, forget the name will post later, great stuff, keeps the seals soft and tight....
On the hood bumpers the spray is to thin.......I USE A DOT OF THE PURPLE GREASE, IT NEVER DRIES OUT AND THE SQUEEKS are all gone.........
The white grease dries and turns yellow.......
As for the gas, there is a difference.......modern cars stalling is not fun with power everything......
The tires....gino just called after his installation.....they are like riding a lincoln town car......that big of a difference.......enjoy..gtjoey1314

It is well known here in SoCal that BMW drivers use Vaseline as a lubricant...:willy:willy:willy

Interesting about Shell gasoline. Maybe that's why some folks in the oil business refer to it as the "Yellow Peril."

A long time ago I started using pure glycerin on my door seals. Read it in a restoration magazine. Got it at my neiborhood drugstore, when they used to have those. My bottle is about 40 years old, and still half full.

NO? It just lasts a long time. When I bought it, was very inexpensive. Might be hard to find now?
