I read the article about you, posted somewhere, very cool! Do you have any pictures of your hand controls, from both cars?

Those are some great pictures. The GT lettering along the rocker panels looks just right. Almost like they could be a factory option.

I totally agree - I had that thought for a long time, and it turned out just as I wanted

We are in the process of converting to hand controls - quite a challenge.

I'm guilty from time to time of skimming posts and just enjoying the pics members post of their cars and then often on a slow day will get caught up with some actual reading. Just read this post from the start and all I can say is WOW and CONGRATS not only on receiving your fabulous car and your choice of color but more importantly your success at fighting back from your accident. What a great inspiration you are to all of us car enthusiasts!

I agree with SteveA, these delivery stories and attached stories are fascinating and never get boring. Congratulations on many fronts.

New times - NFGT goes green

Hi guys.

I'm so happy that my Le Mans Blue turned out as well as all the Photoshop creations I made through time.

But I'm also happy to have landed a sponsor for my GT, in the sense that when I will use it for the charity events www.sportscarevent.dk I will be representing a major Danish bank when raising money for the Danish children’s cancer foundation. In my 2005 GT I had about 1000 people in the passenger seat and they all paid around $250 for two laps at full blast round Danish circuits.

So the expenses for maintaining a NFGT for these events I really needed a sponsor, so it was a win/win when the Bank said that they would like the car in their color in exchange for a financial tribute to cover the running costs.

I know that some people would think it's a shame to cover up the Le Mans blue, but I feel fortunate to have a sponsor helping me out.

Here is a link to a video about the wrapping work done by the guy who does a lot of work for Tom Kristensen's Audi team. It's in Danish but I hope you will like it anyways.

Thanks for “re-introducing” yourself. I love seeing the two Heritage cars together. I own a 2006 Saleen S281in Heritage livery that Steve Saleen built for Rally I in 2006. We often bring the GT and Saleen together as a pair to shows, always a huge hit with the crowd. We also do quite a bit to raise money for charitable groups using the cars, it’s a wonderful way to give back.

Interior update..

As I have told you guys, I'll use my NFGT for charity events, and over the next 3 years I estimate I'll have about 1000 people in the passenger seat.

Imagine what that will do the the interior especially the seat and rocker panel cover. I went for standard interior and I've been dreading the thought of all these people scraping their shoes accross my alcantara, it will look a right mess in a very short time.

So....

I spoke to a guy who knows a guy that heard of a guy that works in a place where they do high end 3D printing...

And...

I'm amazed how spot on they turned out.
Now I just have to get Alcantara on them, and I can then store my brand new original panels away and not worry about panels on the car gettting a bit worn.

Seats

Knowing my seats will also get pretty worn from all the people buying high speed trips I did the following.

I had a upholstery shop remove the original seat covers (no problem by the way) and then I had them do me a new set to use for the next few years. Again I’ll store the originals away with my rocker panels, and they will come in handy one day.

I really like the GT40 seats with the vents that was replicated on the 2005/2006 GT.

Here is a GT40 seat.

And here is my new seat cover next to the original seat.

A little bigger vents than the GT40 but less of them like on the 2005/2006, a nice in between was what I went for.

More pics later, but the next week I’ll be holiday’ing in Florida, so not a lot GT action for now.
