Check this out! Guess the sound of an exotic really does something after all :willy

Automakers are increasingly resorting to technological tricks to make lesser rides roar like a Ferrari, reports Popular Mechanics.
For instance, Volkswagen installed a special speaker in the GTI to pump out fake engine noise. And the BMW M5 plays the sound of a humming motor through the audio system.
Purists may scoff, but there’s some science to back up the gambit. A study commissioned by U.K. insurer Hiscox found that the thrum of a sports car’s engine revs up women at a biological level.
Levels of testosterone — a hormone associated with sex drive — spiked in 100 percent of female subjects after they heard the purr of an Italian sports car.
But the whine of a supermini Volkswagon Polo caused testosterone levels to plunge.
“We saw significant peaks in the amount of testosterone in the body, particularly in women,” said David Moxon, the psychologist who conducted the study. “Testosterone is indicative of positive arousal in the human body so we can confidently conclude from the results out today that the roar of a luxury car engine actually does cause a primeval physiological response.”
