Well, after many months waiting to arrive at its final home, the Wixom rooftop yellow GT has arrived at its final resting place at SVT:

They kept saying "Dave, let us give it to the GT Forum, you can do with it what you like," but I said "No, you guys deserve it as a reminder of all you can accomplish when you set your mind to it." :lol

No seriously, this is where it should have always been. It's best served as a reminder to SVT and the engineers what a killer car they produced, and hopefully, when the time is right, inspiration for what comes next! :cheers

^ That GT has some grip:biggrin

GT Wall Art

The best piece of "Wall Art" I have seen to date.:thumbsup

Awesome! I couldn’t agree more with your thinking!

That sure would look good on the roof at ELITE AUTOS! :biggrin

I thought that car had been shredded. It's good to see that someone at Ford had a strong sense of history and saved it from the scrapheap.

what happened to the test mules ?

Several are still at SVT. Every time we go out Jamal has a new FGT out for testing :lol Several CP cars were sold at ceremonious amounts to companies like Stillen and Genaddi to make show cars out of. I know at least one that was wrecked was rebuilt and sold to an exec.

Okay, I don't get it, can someone please fill me in on what the history of this car is and why it's on a wall? Who's wall is that?

This is the car that sat atop the Wixom build plant. When they closed the plant, its future was in doubt. Thankfully, it has been saved for posterity at SVT.
