These hoods come out of the original nickel tooling where they were made from before acs made them.
My process is just a little different. We spray an in mold primer in first and then do the fiberglass lay up. We hand lay them and work all the bubbles out by hand. On the bottom side of the hood we use carbon fiber in the areas where the stricter and bump stops go. We fully let the outter cure for about 30 days before bonding the bottom to it and pulling it from the mold. Unless baked, resin does not fully cure for about 30 days.
Typically they don’t need any body work minus a block sand before paint but this hood moved around a little bit when it was glued. I was able to block sand and prime the hood with just one spot where I used a touch of filler. Then did a final primer before boxing and shipping
