I've hit 49.8 mph and have friends that weighed more that did more than 60 mph going downhill on a closed highway road. Amazing the guy got up and walked soon after. He must have a head without much to damage.

Not one, but TWO idiots.

The route I ride if the wind is right will let me hit 50-55mph on one of the hills. I would not want to down at the speed. The knucklehead above had a couple seconds to realize he was about to participate in a yard sale lol.

I like the way the windshield had a huge crack across it.
Tells me they don't pay much attention to safety or details....

I think that dude experienced speed wobble, one of those cycling phenomena that many roadies experience sooner or later. I was also surprised how he got up so soon and without head injury.

40MPH on my mountain bike in Telluride, Colorado. I would never want to go down at a speed anywhere close to that!

I've hit 60 mph before on a race bicycle…in the French Alps on a descent. I had a harmonic wobble develop once going down a mountain in New Mexico. Caught it by clamping both knees against the top tube of the bike frame which settled the bike down. Real sphincter tightening experience.

I've been 60+ a few times on my road bike. It's always been good. I've also been 40+ once on my mountain bike, and with the knobby tires on the pavement, I was NOT comfortable at all feeling the tires "wander" at bit. Yikes. I've never had a speed wobble on my bikes though, but that speed wobble does remind me of my skateboard days. Except that we did wear safety gear.

And I'm sorry to say that in watching the video, yes, I laughed. :D
