Shadowman with a radio question

I have a gal in the facility that has the base model radio (non-Mac) and since I have never had this particular head unit out of a gal I am reaching out hoping to find out if this head unit has audio inputs that can be used for an iPod etc?

Thank you

Shadow, somewhere here the owners manual is posted for that radio. It's a really old post and you may have to check the archives.

Thank you both

The link provided the answer; outputs = yes however no inputs as such no iPod for this gal unless a RF modulation unit is used.

All the best

I am too much of a tightwad to buy a radio removal tool so is there any way for me to reattach the antennae cable to the back of the factory Mac radio....it came out and I can put my fingers on it. Thanks.:confused

Here's the manual. Looks like you're out of luck.

Unless you are akin to the Fantastic Four the removing of the head unit is the only game I know.

Takes care and thank you all for the assistance

You would have to be Dr Reed. If you were Johnny you would fry the wiring. If you were Ben you would break the dash. If you were Sue you might be able to you your force field to move in back into place.

Good luck. Us mere morals use the tool.

Bill, let me know if you need to borrow a set of tools to move the Sanyo. (Different tools than those for the Mac.)

Thank you Kendall; very much.

Now I would be interested in purchasing a set if you have the part number so as to keep me from looking it up; whether I pull this head unit or not I should have a set on site.

All the best and Happy Holidays

Shadow, you should have enough contacts at car stereo dealers to find a set for the Sanyo radio. Most of them should have some. Mac tools are impossible to find since there are almost no dealers.

Bill, With your mad fabrication skills you could fab one up on a bench grinder in 10 minutes. :thumbsup
Here's a pic of the set I made out of an old hacksaw blade.

I followed Dan's excellent write-up to fab a set - exactly how he said.... by using an old hacksaw blade. Thanks Dan!

and so it shall be ....

I do keep a couple sets of the Mac tools in the facility it was only the Sanyo head that caught me off-guard.

BTW I think that the Mac tools are available at any time through Torrie as well.

In the mean time I will create a set for the Sanyo based on the pictures shared and set them aside in case of a future need.

Thank you all

Torrie, I know you have tools available all the time. My point was that the Mac cannot be found at regular car stereo installers, whereas you probably would find some for the Sanyo. Try to find a Mac dealer in the USA from there website.
