Shadowman and Our Friend Shelby

Now I need to begin by sharing that I have attached a few pictures of a different marquee and have done so not to promote it but rather that which Shelby did for me thus making the project even nicer.

I saw where Shelby had blacked out the taillights on his personal gal and then had the opportunity to see one of Petunia's taillights first hand when one was shipped to me to assess another project as the result Shelby and I chatted which resulted in me shipping him a set of tail lights off the gal as seen the pictures below.

Now I need to also share that during my chat with Shelby I made it clear that I did not want black taillights but rather I wanted to have them darker when compared to OEM; to take the edge off of them. I knew that It was a crap shoot at best because it was difficult for me to share exactly what I wanted, all I could clearly convey was that which I did not want; as stated I did not want black eyes aka bulls-eyes for taillights

The results are spectacular and then add to this working with Shelby is always a pleasure and IMO he is about as anal as myself which means that the finish work is stunning. A short time after the taillights were received back Shelby contacted me to confirm that the tint was as expected and that my customer and I were happy with the finished product. He then made it very clear that if I was not happy in any way to let him know and he would twist and tweak them until I was.

IMO they came out perfect; as you will see in the before and after pictures of the taillights and the rear side markers lights they went from bright almost a silvery red to a very dark aka blood red as such they calm the arse of the gal down and given her an even more menacing look; IMO a wonderful personal touch for not only this gal but also another being tended to as I have a second set heading his way for his magic touch.

Is tinting taillights for everyone; absolutely not and yet if this is the path you desire to travel rest assured that Shelby and his team can tend to your needs in a timely and very high quality manner.

Having said this it is very important to share that in some states such as California this practice is not only not allowed but in fact is frowned upon by the Law Enforcement agencies in much the same way as is window tinting.

With this having been shared it truly is important that you know what the laws in your area are so that the process if deemed desirable does not cause you problems.

Takes care

This whole thing must be a hoax. No blue tape? No hands?
Time to call CSI Placerville!

Is seems that Shadowman reserves the blue stuff for the truly special cars.

Shadowman & Shelby, you're right, it looks meaner. Can we see a before/after on a FGT? If possible, Heritage would be super.

Wonderful personal touches

Absolutely gorgeous touches to an already sinister silver and black motif gal. It's a little tough to figure out what marque that auto might be... almost as if all the badging and emblems had been shaved off to further the 'sleeper' aspect of the gal. The mark of a true artisan, that is, Shadowman, is to give the customer what he wants... not necessarily what he thinks he wants and asks for! I can only give Shadowman the highest possible recommendation... if you want your car taken to the next level of personalization and flat-out performance he will carefully discuss what you want with you and then perform the required magic.

LOL you are killing me

The arse of this gal was completely wrapped as I take no risk when tending to any of the gals however the pictures as presented were after I removed it hoping to better present the differences (but then I suspect you all know this and simply want to bust my *****).

Blue tape is a staple in my world and then I also use mucho white paper tape in various widths as well.

Rest assured that even though she is not the marquee of choice on this Forum that she received Ford GT level attantion throughout the processes as this is a component of who I am and how I treat all of the gals that come to visit me.

Thanks folks

Glad we could be of help Mr. Shadow! :thumbsup
I now have my Tech ERIC (was at the rally 3 with me) doing all these lights and he takes his time and pays alot of attention to detail. I would say he has now perfected the process and I am VERY happy with all the lights he has been doing. Anyone else that would like it done, shoot me a PM or Email or phone call and we will get you a quote (Price depends on make and model car)
THANKS!

That smoky maroon look is very cool. And thank heavens we saw some blue tape, Shadowman -- I, too, was a little concerned about it really being your install without that extra degree of care showing. And kudos to Shelby, too, for doing it right.
