I'm still not sure what was in the middle of the road but I hit it hard and fast. Amazingly enough, no damage to any other parts of the car.

Actually it was on the way back from 'The Mile.' I passed an 18 wheeler on a temporary passing lane. When I jumped out from behind the truck, there it was... at 90mph I couldn't do anything but center it and brace for impact. I checked out the damage on the side of the road, with nothing hanging down and no fluids pouring out, I just waited till I got home to repair it.

I just assumed this was be a replacement situation. I wonder what cost is, replacement v/s repair.

Go new.

Keep the old one for when they are not available.

Looks like you had a battle with Speed Racer and his side mounted circular saw blades.

Glad you're okay. Nutty.

Torrie most defiantly got the worst damage at the rally .But I still think that he lucked out .
I heard Torrie's car was a great parts car !!
Your a good guy my buddy !!

Hey Ron at least you didn't have to push it around my subdivision today to get her back in the garage. But yes parts car she is right now, but much faster here in no time :biggrin:lol:lol

I can have one of these for you in my Sherman TX warehouse to ship in 2 days.

It looks like you hit a giant can opener!

Wow......that is a sickening feeling when that happens. I was on my way to the GT school in March and came around a bend only at about 75 in pitch black darkness and right in the middle of the road was a BIG rock. Nothing I could do. WHAM......and I was sure the front splitter was gone, but when I pulled over nothing. Looked at the rear, nothing. I think it must have been mostly mud around a smaller rock. I was sweating it.

At my next oil change Kendall discovered a small hole in the belly pan. I repaired it......yours I would replace also.

I was driving around yesterday morning early and as I rounded a bend there it was! I had but a split second to shut my eyes and brace for impact. Bam! I giant bug nailed me dead center of the windshield! The humanity! I winced as I opened my eyes not knowing what damage I would find from such a violent collision. Amazingly, there were no juicy remnants to be found. The little critter had somehow bounced off leaving nary a streak. Talk about a close call!

From the looks of that tear you also were very lucky! Glad no serious damage was done.
