Have done a search to see how to R/R this gauge. It is pretty busy (gauge not visible) behind the gauge panel. Do you have to remove the gauge panel to remove each gauge? A link would be great. Thanks

Yes. There are numerous posts on removing the gauge cluster. Lots of blue tape and patience. Search can help you. You may want to consider Speedhut gauge replacement. Autometer makes new small gauges. Search can be your friend.

I thought you could get behind the gauge panel and pop out the gauge. Who would have thought. What was Ford thinking?

It's a tedious task that requires some contortionist moves to get in and under the dash panel from the rear. It's not difficult, just time consuming if you've not done it before. Your path depends on whether you want a complete set of functional gauges with a different appearance or replacements that have the same look as the existing Ford gauges. I would (as I mentioned in a reply to another very recent topic on this same subject) that you do whatever it is you're going to do once. Speedhut makes the complete panel with different looking gauges. Autometer makes replacements for the small gauges only but they are the same appearance as the originals. Should one of the larger gauges fail (speedo, tach) then you would have to remove the panel again but a member here has found a way to repair them by replacing the innards.

Appreciate the advice. Paul
