Also, is there anyone here who can serve as a broker/bidder for an absentee buyer? Mostly just curiosity as my budget does not generally support the 10k mile and less cars....except maybe the 8k mile blue one.

Somewhat ironic that the Ford VP sat on his/her car for 2 years without driving it and then sold it. Seems like the exact opposite of what Ford was trying to accomplish with the car.

You can register to pay as a phone bidder. But you really want to be there to look at the car you're interested in and to arrange a PPI in the few days before. You'd have to have all of that lined up in advance so whoever you get the PPI can travel. There are a couple of people local that could do it for you.

That was true for mere mortals who went through the application process, but most likely the VPs were granted the car as part of compensation for participating in the program.

Unlike the BJ auction, I think these cars all have reserves.

The cars with lot numbers beginning with "F" are being auctioned on Friday Jan 10th,
the lots beginning with "S" are being auctioned on Saturday Jan 11th.

This was my car (I know because of Cleo and Bondurant signatures). Sold at BJ in October for 295K+10% so someone thinks they can flip it for a profit. Never drove it. I had 4925 on it when I drove it 8 miles to the Mandalay Bay and the rest were "moving around" the hotel parking lots.

It looks to me like the two Heritages were photographed at the same location.

Whoa, so if they paid $324.5, if the seller fee is 8% the car would have to hammer for $353 (with the buyer paying $388) just to get close to breaking even.

I would be surprised if that happened, but I guess surprises happen at auctions pretty often.

Ha ! I had just put the math in but you beat me... I think they are looking back a year ago at BJ Scottsdale where a bunch of Heritages approached or exceeded 500K. I think those days are long gone.

I also think most of the big number sales have been for cars with VERY low miles. If you buy a car with 100 miles, mentally you can pretend it is a new car- a virgin.

The Mecum Heritage observation: The low miles car has a range of 350-450K. My old car with 4935 has a range of 375-425K. It's odd the low miles car has a lower starting range and a wider spread.

I think since they are essentially just making those numbers up, it’s not surprising they are a bit inconsistent!
