Digging this one BIG time. Super hot. Subtle changes, but I love pretty much everything about this car. Love the 991 rear end.

x2. I am a Ford snob, but I will own a Porsche like that before I go on to my great reward.

Oh snap, 4 wheel steering! Not the first auto application by far but I bet they nailed it on this one.

Weren't the Japanese the 1st to do that in a production car?

I had just graduated high school when it came out. Compared to my crude Fox body, I remember thinking the Prelude was like the Space Shuttle. Didn't matter though, it was still rice. :lol

I remember seeing it on the Mitsubishi 3000gt VR4 an thought that car was from outer space. If a new one were to hit the road today with current wheel sizes it would still look great.

Every Porsche forum ninja is up in arms about the transmission and the non-Metzger, unproven block that Porsche has yet to put into one of their race cars. I'm one of them. As a previous owner of one of the last GT1-based engines mated with a 6 speed, it's truly a shame that Porsche is heading in the direction of all of its European counterparts.
That being said, purely from an aesthetic perspective, the 991 GT3 is fantastic! Look forward to what they have in store for the RS variant.

I am with you on that one.
Maybe it is because the other brands with the dual clutch system is sprinting away from the manual Porsches then they wanted to use it on the new one.
I think that it would be much cooler if they used a race like sequential dogbox on the GT3 just because it is the best track day car on the market.

Cant wait to see the RS versions of this baby !!!

Porsche recently decided to keep the Metzger based 4.0 in the Cup cars...no explanation was given but my factory trained Porsche mechanic friend doesn't trust the new engine yet either..he says it isn't proven in race conditions.

However, It's my favorite car at Geneva, esp if the engine proves reliable.
