I was playing with the color simulator on the Ford Racing wheels site.

Got me thinking, should ford have offered one more color?

If so what?

My vote: British Racing Green - a very dark green. All 60s sports cars seemed to offer this even, Mercedes. [It became sorta of a yuppie 90s color, which was unfortunate...think they moved on to sand beige]

It looks very classic.

ps, In this months Autombile mag they have a photo of Jag's XJ13 Lemans prototype in this color. Goes on to say, in some tests it even beat the GT40.
Was never raced, and was disqualified soon after (looks very close to the GT40, esp. rear haunches...)

-Grabber orange aint bad either...

I've always thought gold like the Lemans car.

I'm not sure the GT would look good in British Racing Green - but the gold would look 'of the period'.

This was the Sadler Green in the 60's:

Candy Chrome Red like the GTX1 of Mk2.

I'd love a British Racing green GT

Don't know about the green color but I would have bought the GT in grabber orange if it was available. My new Shelby, BOSS 302 and BOSS 429 are grabber orange.

They should have released Guardsman Blue with white stripes. That is the ultimate color for Cobras and for GT40's. It was the color of the GT40 103 the first to win a race. Looks stunning in that colorway, especially in the sun. :cheers
