You aren't gunna believe this set up! The work started at the beginning of this decade & isn't scheduled for completion until 2014!!!

If nothing else, one hasta marvel at the dedication & tenacity of these two brothers!:willy

Edit: Somehow all the written narrative got dropped here, but, the DETAIL in this project is not to be believed!

I used to be into trains and then I met up with a guy that had dedicated decades towards his hobby with a tally of the costs. I gave up my hobby right then and there.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeup. 'Know exactly what you mean. I looked into the cost of these really realistic setups many years ago and came to 'ZACTLY the same conclusion. I KNEW once I got into that stuff there'd be NO END.

I base the above on my experience building a two story, scale model doll house for my youngest daughter when she was about 8 yrs old or so. It measures over 4'X3'X2' and weighs a TON. Back then, furniture, carpets, wall paper, cedar shake roof, real electric lights and all, the puppy ended up costing me about $5K! :willy:willy:willy But, my daughter was gaah gaah over it and played with it for years...and now it fascinates my lil' grandaughter (though, at 2-1/2 she's just a bit too young to "let her loose" with it). She just naturally tries to be - and IS - very, very careful with EVERYTHING...but, right now at her age, many of the things in the 'house are just too delicate for her to play with. She'll be old enough for it far too soon...:frown
