Would love for it to happen.........but I'll believe it when I see it.............Passing up on that Nascar track 3 miles from my home in Staten Island took the wind out of my sails...........I could of driven my race car right down the expressway right to the track.......but, as Jeff Gordon just mentioned (the track in an interview), it aint over yet!!!!!!:banana

Went to an open wheel race in the Meadowlands eons ago, (1980's or something like that) CART, Indy, or some such - bloody awful! Should have saved all that beer and parking money for Plato's Retreat!

Have you ever lived behind the wheel of a race car?.....the adrenaline factor is indescribable, and addicting..............dont knock it till you try it.......but then I almost forgot.........your desk does not have wheels.....:lol


And yes, I attended all of those races at the Meadowlands...and Yes it was CART.........after sucking in all those fumes, who needed to smoke that day?......:lol

Thread killer, I said nothing about the cars or driving....its the facility and service thats the worst....
When you go to other venues.....its clean, a pleasure and convenient

Last night's Top Gear had Richard Hammond driving a Renault F1 car. He started off in the little Forumula Renault (similar in scale to the Forumula Mazdas used by Bondurant - a hoot to drive), then up to a mid-sized Forumula style car (each step getting more horsepower) then finally to the real deal. He did OK until he got to the real deal, then couldn't keep it going enough - they need to run to stay "warm", mostly tires, and had to leave the track a couple of times to warm the tires up. In the end he ran two laps which was his goal. The whole thing was a demonstration of what a handful a F1 car is and the skill level that is really needed just to get in the seat let alone compete.
