Hello, I just wanted to introduce myself. I've browsed through the forum some over the past few years, but in the last week I've been glued to the computer, reading just about every thread ever posted here. Why? Because I just bought a 2006 GT. I bought it from Shelby at Elite, and it should be delivered within about one week. It is a red/white stripe, 4-option car with 4800 miles. It already has a Heffner pulley/tune, Bridgestone tires, and seat hot buttons and bezels. It sounds like the consensus on the board is that Shelby is a trustworthy guy who is great to deal with, which sure helped with my decision to buy from him. I sure haven't had any complaints so far. I haven't been this excited about something for a long, long time.

Congratulations on the new car! Be careful in the cold weather if you're gonna drive it this time of year.

Welcome aboard!

Now, go pick out a folding chair to put beside the GT's parking spot! :biggrin (You'll understand that pretty soon!)

Welcome and congratulations. I bought my GT in June of this year and I'm still amped about it. Enjoy!

Welcome from another noob. I got my red/white stripe GT in June with 3k miles. Now it has 8k miles. I feel like I'm not driving enough. Congratulations on what may be the best purchase decision you've ever made!

Holy cow that's impressive. I thought I was doing well around 1000.

Congrats and welcome to our fantastic community!

Congrats and welcome!! same red/wht 4-option car here as well :)

Welcome from a fellow Red owner. Be careful when tires are "cold" which will be frequently in S Dakota, as the car can get sideways without warning. When you are not driving it, remember to keep it plugged in so the battery does not drain and in turn cause problems with any of the gauges.

I'm originally from Sioux City! Welcome to the FGT world. There are probably not too many FGTs in your area.

Like was stated, be very careful this time of the year where you are. Factory tires on cold pavement and sudden accelerations, especially into a turn, can be a pucker moment when the rear tires break loose Even with Bridgestones it happens - trust me I know, the outside temp was about 45 and I was accelerating into a left turn merge lane. I live in Colorado now and have taken mine out every couple of weeks but only to warm it up and get the juices flowing and am very careful about "sudden moves" until the pavement warms up in the spring.

Welcome! You made some great choices - GT, color, Shelby. This is a great forum - enjoy!

Welcome to the forum, I'm a new owner and new to this forum too...so far so good!

Congrats on the RED car.

Congrats and welcome to the club! Now start looking for a second one cause you are gonna be that hooked. Lol

EP moving his bed into the garage, so he would wake up with a view! :lol

Thanks for the warm welcome, everybody. I am no stranger to high hp cars, and I would imagine the GT would behave similarly to my whippled 750+ whp GT500 in cold weather (which is why from November-May I am pretty much relegated to driving my truck or my GT-R!). Nevertheless, I appreciate the warnings and the advice. Thank you!

Welcome aboard to the Greatest Forum around.

Welcome and congratulations on the car
