Just got my first FGT yesterday. Love this car. I have had 2 DeTomaso Panteras and this reminds me of a more refined Pantera. I have a lot to learn. My one observation in my limited driving is that I would love to sit a bit higher. Being short 5’ 3” I feel even shorter in the car. Other than that this car needs nothing. Looking forward to enjoying it for years to come.

Nice! Congrats! My 5'-2" sister couldn't operate the clutch even with the seat all the way forward. Probably didn't help her much knowing that in her periphery was me in the passenger seat probably looking kinda terrified  🤪

The previous owner of mine was also less tall...he had a couple of ~1" aluminum square tube/pipe that were bolted on to the seat rail and he said it made a difference. Also, I recall early less-tall owners would remove the windshield wipers to clear their sight line.
Ps-I too had a Pantera (for 35 years).

My short wife complains about the wipers too. She uses a stadium cushion for padding and height.

I think I'm plenty tall at about 5'-11" but still would prefer the wipers were out of view ... mainly cuz I like the view straight down to the road. But I live in 🌦️ rainy Florida so removing the wipers isn't the best idea. I know I could keep em in the frunk and pop em back on when needed, but nah, not yet anyway; maybe I'll change my mind.

I am 5'6". I raised the seat on a stack of washers at the rear. It needed longer bolts but you can tailor the height by the number of washers. The limiting factor becomes the point at which the door runs into the seat on closing. If that raises it enough, cheap and simple. If not you are looking at more extensive mods to the seat.
Many drivers remove the wipers and store them in the boot for emergencies. Might need some little plugs for the washer lines.

Re the seats: The good news for you is that you won't have to scrunch down in the seat when wearing a helmet at track events!
Re the wipers: Easy to deal with. Go to your favorite local auto parts store (FLAPS) and buy some plugs for the washer hose nipples. The wiper arms are held onto the wiper shaft with a tab that you can release with your thumb/finger--no tools required. It literally takes a couple minutes to remove them.

And welcome to the club!

Congratulations! What a beautiful color combo. I am just beginning my search for the same! Enjoy the heck out of it. I certainly plan to drive mine when I find the right one.
