Hey guys,

Just thought I'd give you some updates on some more modifications we have made to get the car ready for this years Targa rally.

A few weeks ago I had mentioned (in one of Fubar's threads) that we were planning on taking off our exhaust manifolds and sending them out to be extrude honed. Then after that we were going to have them ceramic coated. Well, we could not find a company that could extrude hone them quickly. Every company we spoke with was a minimum of 6 weeks turn around.

Instead we had one of our tech's simply port match the exhaust manifolds. He really did a great job of cleaning them up. After that was finished we sent the manifolds out for coating. At the same time we figured we might as well send out the race pipes and exhaust. We have noticed that with a HARD, hot day at the track the heat coming off of the race pipes can affect the starter motor.

Well, I just walked past the car and thought some of you guys might enjoy the shinyness. All of the parts were finished with a polished ceramic coating. They look great and will really help handle the heat.

We are working on a lot of different projects for our GT right now and unfortunately they are slowing us down from being able to finish up testing and development on the new blower.

You are the third person to ask me about the new blower today though so I am going to really lean on my guys and get that project wrapped up.

The coating was performed by a local ceramic coater that does all of our work.

Their name is Hi-Tech coatings and they are located in California.
