I'm looking at Michelin 345/35R19 BS POS RE050 SCUDERIA (110Y) and 265/40R18 BS POZ RE050A XL N1 (101Y) tires. Any thoughts or a link?

Gary is correct. They are Bridgestones. Michelin doesn't really make anything to fit. Make sure the fronts are the Porsche N1.

Pauls, Yes Bridgestone, believe I got last set rears, sold out now, but if you wait they have production run very soon, so get fresh set, have tire dealer check with Bridgestone warehouse directly find out schedule, also make sure Porsche N1 fronts are fresh, had 2015's last I checked.

Believe the settled science points to Bridgestones with the caveat emphasized by fjpikul in his above post.

Yes.....the numbers correlate to deviation from OEM stock goodyear tires.....

read Width * Sidewall Percentage = Actual Sidewall Height
New Tire Height / OEM Tire Height = Percentage Change

Bridgestone Example:
345 x 0.35 = 120.75mm
126 / 120.75 = (0.9583-1) = -04.17%

And I think the numbers are incorrect for what is pertinent.

As an example:

OEM Rear Tire: 315/40-19 Diameter is ((315 x .4 x 2)/25.4) + 19 = 28.92"

Scuderia Tire: 345/35-19 Diameter is ((345 x .35 x 2)/25.4) + 19 = 28.51"

Ride height change = 1/2 of diameter difference = 0.205 (less than 1/4 of an inch)

% difference of diameters = 1.4% (speedometer error)

Fubar's calculations fail to include the rather significant inclusion of the diameter of the rim and therefore lead to erroneous conclusions implied about the overall percentage of ride height change. In the "true" calculations above, you can see that the very popular Scuderia rear tire is just over 1% difference from OEM - far from a 4% difference implied in the erroneous calculations.

Look back to your first post. See "N1" in the nomenclature?

The front tires are Porsche OEM and the rear tires are Ferrari Enzo OEM.

What's important is that the tread pattern and construction of the fronts and rears match, and they are very close to the OEM Goodyear diameter.

Check the date of manufacture and don't get any that are more than a couple of years old. Newer if you expect to keep the tires for several years.

The Bridgestone tires were mounted yesterday. Fantastic road feel, traction and such a smooth ride. Thanks Xcentric, JWZ and everyone's input.

The inner is slightly stiffer (it's a back tire for the 911, with the negative camber and engine weight, the stiffer sidewall helps). The engineer of the suspension told me that this stiffer sidewall will help with a crisper turn in, and would be a better choice over the symmetrical sidewall.
