In the morning I would say it was a constant 5 mph with gusts of 8 mph to 10 mph. In the afternoon 1 PM and later there was a stronger constant wind of approx 10 mph with gust of 12 to 15 mph. These would be my STORMCAT unofficial numbers but I would say they are fairly accurate....:biggrin

For those of you who were impressed with Monica (Apollo's wife) going 177 at the Mohave Mile, this girl totally kicked butt at the Miami Mile, with 2 runs OVER 190 mph!!! :banana I left at 3 and am bummed that I took off before getting to see that! Congratulations Monica! :cheers VERY impressive times!!!!! :thumbsup

BTW, she and Terry will be at the TX Mile. Let's see if this GT girl can get up to 200 mph!!!! :banana I'll be rooting for you Monica. Chip, you've got some competition! :biggrin

MJ,

Before Terry ever attended a GT Forum event, we spoke on the phone. After chatting with him for a short while, I knew he was a perfect fit for our fraternity. I told him that if he got involved, the Ford GT Forum would change his life as it is about so much more than just the cars. After a short period of time, Terry and his darling wife Monica are two of our most enthusiastic members.

I do believe this Internet forum has changed both of their lives. Now, as to competition from Monica (a.k.a. speed babe), forget that! :ack Every time I try and compete with young blondes, I get my ass kicked! :willy

Hi all,
This was a great time, great event! Ford Gts were well represented with plenty of exotic sports cars there also, Lambos, Saleen S7, Porsche GT, ZR1 and other modified Corvettes, etc...
These little GTs really do attract more than their share of attention, especially when they pretty much outperform just about anything else out there regardless of the modification level. :thumbsup:Ford really did their homework on these gals! We saw a FGT break the standing mile record. Monica ran 192.9 in her first run :eek and backed it up with a 190 :eek:eek:thumbsup. I was flirting with 200 in the mile but only got to 197... until they extended to a 1.25 and I officially have joined the 200+ club with a 202.5 and then a 201.? with Monica in the passenger seat. :banana:banana:thumbsup:thumbsup
She was a little worried about slowing down after she missed the markers at the end of the mile run and after watched a Porsche almost buy the farm trying to catch the record GT run, she was not comfortable running the longer track, (read shorter slow down). I am proud of her for recognizing her limits. There is definitely a technique to this and is a bit different to figure out at each event.
I wish all our friends we met at the Mojave Mile could have been here too.
Piccola was a wonderful support and seeing all of the east coast GT crowd was really wonderful for us.:biggrin:thumbsup
We love this!
