Most of our members know that the Matech Team has secured a second entry at this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Ford GT has been the dominant force in GT1 this season winning two of the first three races and finishing 1-2-3 last weekend. The "Ford GT Forum.com" logo will appear on the rocker panels of their first entry as a result of our raising €20,000 to become a Team Sponsor. We've been offered a chance to sponsor their second car for 1/2 that amount. We have some excess funds left over from our first sponsorship drive that will get us started and I am going to contribute the first $500 to further the effort to sponsor the second car.
In addition to having our names listed inside the car during the race, a decal containing the names of all GT forum sponsors will be placed on the outside of both cars during the race. Yeah, our names will be quite small, but they will be there, displayed on the exterior body work of the first Ford GTs to race at LeMans since 1969. How cool is that?!?!
I didn't think we would be able to raise €20,000 to sponsor the first car. I'm not sure if we can raise €10,000 to sponsor the second car. But with DBK's blessing we are going to give it a try.
A Ford GT is going to win LeMans in GT1. I want my name on that car. Will you join me?
Everybody that contributes a minimum of $500 will have their name on and in both cars. Everybody that contributes will receive the Project 321 engraved/billet "Ford GT Return to LeMans-2010" dash plaque, and every contributor will receive an 8 x 10 color photograph of your name on the exterior of the cars taken by yours truly just prior to the race.
