Looking for a transporter Colorado to Las Vegas

If anyone knows of a transporter moving a car to the west coast that might be going through Colorado and Nevada and would happen to have an open slot please PM me.

I've exhausted the usual suspects. Intercity and Reliable are 4 weeks out. We are here in Vegas for about 3 weeks and if possible I'd like to get the GT to Vegas while we are here. Pickup in CO is covered by a friend and I want to be here when it is delivered.

P.S. I will not drive it. It's only 800 miles but that isn't the problem. There is so much horribly dirty construction between I70/I15 and Vegas that it will rip your car apart. In fact, I'm not sure the one lane road through Virgin River Canyon is even wide enough for my girl's big butt.

Does Fedex do car shipping any more? I recall them being pretty competitive but thought I'd seen they got out of the business and it doesn't show up on their web site any more.

Passport was bought by Fed Ex which subsequently spun off and is just Passport Auto Transport again.

yes, I had the same dilemma. I booked Exotic Car Transport, told me 7-10 days. 21 days later and not even scheduled. Saw rave reviews about Passport on this forum, booked last Tuesday and my FGT just got here this afternoon. From what I understand all the transporters are slammed right now.

Getting on a big carrier is going to be harder than finding a single or two car exotic car carrier. A lot of dealers use Central Dispatch, which does have a ratings system for smaller carriers. I move cars pretty frequently using it, usually some guy with a dually and a 48 foot trailer that exclusively moves high end cars. I just have Shelby throw the listing on there since he subscribes to it. The only thing is that you may end up having to bump the price to get someone to pick it up. Sometimes you get lucky and there's someone in the area that needs to fill a spot, but I have had cars sit until you throw in a little extra money.

Any leads on single or two car exotic carrier appreciated, as I have something to ship from West coast, that would be best not on a big truck.

Tony, glad to hear that Mike was able to work you into the transportation schedule. The Reliable gang was very easy to work with on the rally transportation bid and seemed pretty excited to get our GT's back on their trucks.

Looking forward to working with Mike to get my car out to Las Vegas!

To my knowledge he does not, however, the Company owner does.

Reliable will be sending Mike out to Las Vegas to assure a smooth delivery to the owners at the Rally and to coordinate reloading at the rally conclusion. IMO pretty good service.

Last night I got a call from the driver saying he would be in Vegas and ready to unload my car at about 1:00-2:00. At 11:00 I was going out to move things in the garage and the phone rang - he was here. I went down and helped him unload the car from the trailer - it was my car and two Dodge/Chrysler test vehicles coming to Vegas from Frisco, CO. It was a tight fit but no worse than my garage :)

it turns out it rained the day they loaded it so I washed it this afternoon. The wheels were full of brake dust so I spent a little time with my scrubber and cleaned them up a little. I think I'm going to pull them off and clean the insides of the rims and the brake areas. It gives me an excuse to go to a Sears and buy a new torque wrench. I haven't head a Sears with a serious tool area for about 10 years. We lived in the little town and had to go 12+miles one way to anything. Now I'm 2 miles away from both a Home Depot and Lowes. And tons of grocery stores and a Walmart with $10.97 for a 1.75 liter of black velvet :)

We got our carpet. Home Depot gets their carpet from the same mill in GA that I bought mine for my houses. Spooky.

P.S. Thanks Mike!!!

PPS. We are way down a service street (Reno Blvd) between the Luxor and the Excalibur at the west end just off Frank Sinatra. I'm working my way over the speed bumps that are placed with no rhyme or reason. At one intersection there is a speed bump about one car length before the stop sign. So I'm going over it hoping not to scrape up the splitter and diffusers any worse than they already are, and a guy RUNS into the middle of the street between the bump and the stop sign and starts taking pictures. While we were unloading people were turning off Frank Sinatra Blvd and honking their horns and thumbs up too. On the way home a highway patrolman dashed across Las Vegas Blvd to get in front of me. It was one of the new(er) Ford Police Interceptors (purpose built cop car but basically a Crown Vic). I've seen pictures but never one in person :)
