Is there any interest?

I am traveling with my national tire rep this week. I know this subject of raised white letter Goodyear tires has come up before but my rep said if there was enough interest to warrant creating a mold, Goodyear might do it. I personally would love to have a set like those on the concept car. Before I have him make some calls, I thought I would gauge the interest.

I'd take these in a heartbeat!

Me too.

Not for me, unless there is a substantial compound revision.....

Love the look and would be interested too!

Can you share the rough quantity of tire 'sets' that are required for GY to make a new mold?

Yes!

x 2. Regardless of what the tire looks like, the original equipment compound is not a tire I'd be interested in running. It's a pretty severe handicap vs today's tire tech.

Yes, i'd be a buyer! It would be terrific if the compound were improved in the process.

The good news is, you can have RWL, the bad news is its' bias play.

Retro is back......... :biggrin

Might as well be!

A car is only as good as the guy driving it, but there's a reason the GT Guys garage fills up every fall. Ask Rich and Dennis how many wrecked GTs are inbound right now because of the drop in temps. The Goodyears are flat out hockey pucks when the weather turns.

'Still say raised whites look fine on a muscle car, but out of place somehow on a supercar/exotic...much like chromed wheels. JMHO...but then, what the devil do I know.

(In my defense, though, it appears there must be a few people at Ferrari, Lambo, Pagani, Koenigsegg, et al, who hold the same opinion. :wink)

On a more serious note, GY would need more than a mold w/RWL, or a revised compound. Tire tech has moved on, and a new tire construction is in order to be market competitive in performance. Best near term solution is to lobby BS to make some more of the Enzo tire.

More? Is there a short supply?!!

Nevermind.

I'd be interested. Someone should do the wheels, too!

Which proves what?

It wasn't really intented to "prove" anything. It's just a 7 figure hypercar the manufacturer feels looks appropriate wearing tire lettering, and I agree with them.
