Guys, if I come across a car STILL ON MSO....and buy it does the warranty start 3 years from now, I thought from the old indy pace car corvette days there was a cap or limit to mso....
Was it 10 years? just asking as someone has an itchto by a REAL beater driver........:biggrin gtjoey1314

This was addressed in an earlier thread. I believe Ford started the clock on all of them no matter the circumstances.

Herb is correct and I'm the one that started the thread a while back. Additionally, it is possible that a private party can buy an MSO car and the selling dealer starting the warranty without the purchaser's acknowledgment. MSO sales are typically held in tact when its a dealer to dealer transaction or sometimes a dealer to corporation/transaction. My Heritage is on MSO, 150 miles, unregistered with an expired warranty.

Sam is correct.... but,

I purchased a car Ford dealer/to dealer..........I was told the warranty started on the transaction date........did not matter if reg. or not......so we got 1 year left Joey.......

I got my car with an MSO. If I had kept her in wrappers I would have made a profit less storage costs, but then again I would have lost out on the use of the car and meeting a lot of other owners. I know I made the right choice.

The dealer started the warranty on my car as soon I placed a deposit for it. :thumbsdow It didn't leave the dealer's lot for another 2 weeks. In the end it didn't matter since the extra two weeks of warranty would have done nothing for me; the car is built "Ford Tough."

At least the ones that are profitable and still in business.
