Rally Tech Sheet Clarification
REMEMBER TO BRING A COMPLETED TECH SHEETS! IF NOT WE WILL TECH YOU AT THE TRACK! NO WORRIES
Thanks for the head's up Ron! And we do really appreciate all the tutorial efforts you have given us Forum participants over multiple years of rallys.
And I do not mean to pick on you here but with respect to the Pre-Event Inspection Form, some questions (and comments)
1) What PCA Region do we put in and/or why is this on our form?
2) Are you really going to have SIX driver experience classes? What requirements differentiate between the colors so the drivers are able to self-assess?
3) Are you really going to DISALLOW Stormcat or others from using “after market drilled or slotted rotors. (Check 914 rear adjustment)”? Can non OE rotors/brakes be used?
4) Confusing continuous references to 914, 356, 900 series, 944/968. Couldn’t we have a general inspection form for FORD vehicles?
5) Will the requirement “Fluid must have been changed in last 12 months:_____(NO DATES=FAIL)” be enforced? I realize it is good practice yada, yada, but guidance should be provided on what technical aspects are mandatory go/no-go for our track outing.
6) What is the “broomstick” rule the driver must pass?
7) Being “INTERIOR NON-PORSCHE” do FGT vehicles have to use “Schroth Quick Fit, Schroth Rallye, and Schroth AutoControl four (4) point harnesses"?
8) Perhaps for our rally type events, a one-size-fits-all tech form is not the best fit…. If liability is the most critical element, why not just have drivers sign a liability waiver?
Thanks again.
