Hi, i have just signed up to the forum, i know a few of you where following the 600re that had appeared on e-bay, and a few of you might know it then dissapeared!
The company i work for has aquired the car and i am currently stripping it to the bone, with a view of placing the engine etc.. into a carbon group c / gtp chassis. my company developed the chassis back in the 80's for ford and we will be making it road legal for a one off car.
i know a few of you might be dissapointed to see such a rare gt being dismantled but i assure you there was no way it could be repaired and re-used as a gt.
Anyway i just thought i would let you guys know, if anybody wants any info on any parts or inner workings and dosent fancy dismantling there own car feel free to ask and i will try to help you out, likewise i am sure i will have a few questions further down the line some of you could help me on!
One final thing, a lot of the parts are bashed up or accounted for but if your after any parts in partuicular please pm me and i can see if we cant sort you out (especially if your in the u.k)

Hi Bob and thanks for the update....

Glad to hear that nobody was hurt in the accident, it looked a bad one.

Did Avro get in touch with you? I think Andy was planning to contact you.

avro, as in avro motorcars? im not sure to be honest, i did hear they wear after the car. apparently rouch wanted it to use the engine as a display unit at there place, i thought that would have been a bit of a waste of an engine though!
