Has my seat already been modified?

Can't believe I haven't noticed this before, but are all GT's like this (notice difference in height between driver and passenger seat)? Maybe mine had seat height mod done when I bought it.... Shelby, maybe you can answer this for me? I don't mind one way or the other, just curious...

Are they both adjusted to the same relative position? Seat mod is bottom padding, right?

Excellent question! I thought that both seats were in the same relative position, when I took that photo, but after carefully comparing and adjusting both seats all the way back and fully reclined, they now appear much closer to the same height. Driver's seat still looks a tad lower, but close enough that I figure that likely no mod was done. Thanks!

Knights seat mod only alters the seat bottom cushion. Shouldn't affect the height of the seat backs.

Knight's Seat Mod

Mine has been done. You can see in the picture there are some hex nut on the bottom side of the seat bottom that were not there before. If you have these then your seat is modified.GTSeatLowered.jpg

Looks like it- I had mine done but in a different way. When i first got my car in 05',I sent my entire seat to Recaro and had them redo the bottom portion so I sat about 1 1/2" lower . I believe they put a gel type material ( instead of foam) in the base , super comfy

Your seat is stock. You did not have them in the same position when you took the pic. The Seat lowering mod does NOT lower the height of the actual seat itself, but rather the butt of the seat is reworked to make it thinner thus getting you more head room..... :)

You are, of course, correct. I created the post too hastily. Any word on my window sticker yet?
