After many years of dreaming I finally took the leap and bought a GT.
I'm 52 and have owned many Mustangs since 1976 and currently own
an 2008 Shelby super snake convertible.

I thought Id'e be happy with just owning that car until the thought
crossed my mind " what if "?.

Well, that quickly changed into the decision to go ahead and buy one.
I suppose part of the reason is the classic mid life crisis symptom
of realizing that I need to do things NOW rather than " maybe someday".

In any case, it brings excitement to my life and I'm sure a huge adrenaline
rush that lasts the whole ride!

Congratulations. It's definitely a tough decision, but one, I can easily say, that has never been regretted. I've owned a Roush Stage II Mustang GT (97), and a Mustang Cobra (96). Fun cars, no doubt. You'll love the Ford GT.

BTW black is the fastest..except for the RED ones....have Shelby add some RED add ons it will help it go faster. :wink

Wow, thanks so much for the warm welcome guys.
I am really excited about the car and being part of this group.

It's going to be nice driving something RARE.

I was thinking that most people probably don't have a clue what this car
actually is as they watch it drive by.

All they know, is that is something special and exotic.

I have always owned black cars and they are my color of choice for sure.
Shelby is adding:

Black Supercharger, Black Engine Brace bars, Black Throttle body, Black Valve Covers, Black Coil Covers, Black Wheels, Smoke Tinted taillights and marker lights, Power Pulley and Tune, Bumper Delete with Heffner Bumper Delete Exhaust and Seat HOT BUTTONS.

It will be a pretty " sinister" looking car according to Shelby :)

PS I will go to the east cobb show for sure.
