I had the opportunity to ride and drive the Gennaddi gtx1.....100mph with the top off and we had a normal conversation w/o yelling! at 140 it barely ruffled a feather, not that there are many left ,worth every penny!! Impatiently waiting the arrival of my tungsten '06 so I can have the top chopped off!!!!

I was contemplating the GTX1, but I am going to hold off until others have a chance to comment.

Here are my top 3 concerns with it:
1) It looks like there is no window in the back between the top and the engine cover clamshell. Is there or is it just opened up back there all the time? If so, that is definitely a negative
2) How fast can you go with the top on? I know the first gen of RT/10 Vipers were prone to having the top fly off at speeds over 80mph and depending on wind conditions. I hope the GTX1 is capable of going the same speed with or without the top
3) Any potential chances of leaking. I realize not everyone drives it in the rain, but, at one time or another, everyone runs across an unavoidable shower, etc.. In addition, every time you wash the car could be an issue if it is not a very tight seal. Speaking of washing, that would be a drag if there is no back window.

Does anyone know if my concerns are valid or if it was all taken into account during the design phase?

I had been looking on their site while I read your post & dropped them a note w/your inquiries. When they return my call, I'll let you know what they have to say (unless someone else already knows the answers...)

add'l info re: the GTX1

In response to your concerns... I spoke with Mark (contact info below) & had a short discussion with him. I also let him know there have been several GT owners with questions & he said he'd be happy to answer any, so feel free to give him a call if you're interested in this new car. He was to be sending me some additional info via e-mail, but this hasn't arrived yet.

1) there is a window in the back so that when the top is on, it's 100% sealed.

2) they only tested it w/the top on up to 120 mph & had no problem at all. the reason they stopped at 120 (according to Mark) was not because they were afraid of problems w/the top breaking off, but because that's apparently all the space they had for testing. (this to me is an unacceptable answer as it would need to be tested at high speeds to know if you're going to have a problem with it, at least for those of us that would want to go much faster than 120).

3) according to them, because it has a good seal all the way around it won't leak - not sure how thoroughly this has been tested though

The gentleman I spoke with, Mark Garrish, is selling the GTX1 (920-242-9156). I believe he also owns one. He did mention about 20 other options that anyone calling him might want to inquire about (ie, different types of doors including the "Enzo Ferrari" doors, seat upgrade, cup holders, nab system, etc...)
