In my local area we have some 30s era ones that are modeled after Chateaux or Tudor Lodges.

Neat stuff. My mother was an artist and in the early 1960's was commissioned by BP to come up with a design and to do a painting of a "futuristic" gas station. Number 7 in this sequence - is almost as I remember Mom's rendition.
Perhaps someone saw it hanging somewhere?

Long before the air brush - she got he same effect by using a toothbrush through "bug" mesh in various grade of coarsness. Her "BP Super Station" had lots of this technique. Fond memories!
