Gary Almond went out of his way to deliver this 1980 Camaro Z28 to my door step. I can not recommend Gary enough for car delivery. Enjoy the pics!

Nice ride! Gary is the best.

PS: I had a '78 Z-28 (same body style) 4 speed w T-tops, school bus yellow. It was the first new car I ever bought.

I remember when these were new, and this one looks like that, short of the mods of course. A really nice item of history for a gm guy. Good luck with it and it is a great car.

Great pics MK2!! I never got to see under the hood. Wow! Those Cragar mags were flawless and really took me back!

Thanks everybody for the kind words.

WOW, the pics sure bring back some memories. My first "new car" purchase was a '78 Pontiac TransAm, Smokie and the Bandit Black with the Gold screaming chicken on the hood. T-tops and all. God damn did I think I was the shizzle:lol ! I have been soooo thinking about finding one. That was the last new car I purchased for a decade but boy oh boy did it ever help me get laid:biggrin . I think it made something like 210 hp AT THE CRANK! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

MK, your Z is great. What, may I ask, prompted you to get it?

KJ, I really wanted one back in 1980 (I was 13). it took me 26 years but I finally got a 1980 Z28.

I am a big fan of that body style.

Gary thanks again, yup, I am glad you got to see under the hood....that is almost the best part.

I had a '79 white with blue strips and a four gear. It was my second car after a 1976 Camero. The 78s and 79s had a non-functional front hood air intake scoop unlike the functional 1980 model. I was more than a little envious of the flaps that opened on the 1980 model when you put your right foot to the floor!
