I am the one who posted "fuel leak" on 09/10/2016, looks like my problem could be the "fuel vapor control valve tube assembly", the ford service manual states "consists of the fuel vapor control valve, fuel vapor vent valve, inline fuel tank pressure sensor, the tube prevents suspended liquid fuel from being drawn into the evaporative emission canister along with the fuel vapors, includes a fresh air transfer tube routing fresh air between the canister vent solenoid hose and the fuel tank filler assembly" OR "grade vapor vent valve", again ford service manual states "is permanently mounted in the fuel tank. prevents suspended liquid from being drawn into the evap canister along with fuel vapors" OR "the fuel limit vent valve", again ford service manual "is permanently mounted in fuel tank, prevents suspended liquid from being drawn into the evap canister along with the fuel vapors", now that liquid fuel has been drawn all the way back to the evap purge valve, remember this is where the fuel was leaking in the first place, the evap system has been ruined, now listen to this, parts cost about $10000.00 if you include the fuel pump. any ideas or thoughts.

I would ask around or PM Forum members in your area for a FORD dealer with verified good service (see members forum) OR a GT Service Tech.

This sounds like something an experienced GT Tech would troubleshoot and may be covered by extended EPA warranty Regs.

The GT is not a car you do process of elimination in parts replacement; there have been a bunch of posts recently on leaks with missing O-rings or seals, where the first mis-diagnosis was "replace the pump" (oil, fuel, water, etc).

At $10K, with Evap codes, DMV Reg / Smog issues and not to mention safety, I would not DIY this much longer, and flatbed any car movement.
