Hello to anyone who reads this. My dealership has a 2005 Ford GT. Its Mark IV Red, with White stripes, Red Calipers, Mac Audio, and Standard Wheels. Car is still on CO/MSO from Ford. It does have 732 miles on it. The reason for the miles, the car was used primarily for promotional purposes, as we are a small dealer, and it was big news that we got one in. We got it from the lottery when they started allocation. Car was never driven in rain. Always stored in the showroom. To let you know, it is a very early build. with the last 4 of VIN# being 0197. It had the control arm recall done at the factory (the recall delayed its shipment to us), and now has the billet arms. We never wanted to do Ebay with the car, so I figured I would post the car on here.

Even though I only have a few posts, I have been checking this site out for over 1.5 years. I am a HUGE car enthusiast, and am passionate about cars in general (especially this car, and Mustangs). I love cars, and am the "car nut" of the dealership. I have been here for 9+ years (my full time in the business. I started when I was 20). I'm so much of a car nut, I have a 2006 GT Mustang. I wish I could afford a Ford GT, but that is way out of reality. Plus, the Mustang is a great fun car, for a great price. Anyhow, if anyone has any questions, or wants pictures, please feel free to PM me. MSRP on the car is listed at $153,095. After seeing a fellow forum member posting his used 2005 with over 3,000 miles for $149,000, this price is pretty good. Considering that there are very few cars still on the factory MSO. If anyone has any further questions, feel free to email me or send me a PM. Thanks for taking the time to check out my post. :thumbsup

Sorry but 732 miles is used. Not new.

Just an observation.

Just an observation, according to titleing rules, its still new, since the title hasn't been issued yet, and the sale hasn't been reported to Ford yet. Used vehicles already have a title issued and will have a second owner, and the warranty has been started already. Its just semantics, I know, but I want to let you know that.

Very true ... but, the "plus" is that the car will still have a full warranty because it's not been registered yet. That may or may not be worth something to someone.

That aside, IMHO it's "used" too, Roadtrip!:lol

No worries Empty:cheers . The full 3 year warranty is the "Plus" to some. You still get the mileage, but just have to deduct what is on the odometer. Its just like selling a demo. You get the years, just not the full mileage. :thumbsup

Just think, if this was used, the warranty would be up in just under a year.

Yup. Like I said, that may or may not be important to some people. For instance, some of these cars really are bought just as garage sculpture. 'Warranty would mean diddley to that buyer ... but the mileage might.

Cotty, some of the very early '05 engines had a crank leak that was solved with a quickie repair called a speedy sleeve. Kind of a cheap fix but effective. Found somewhere in the first couple hundred of cars. There are great old posts concerning this, so please do a search.

I was told this car is being kept by the dealer and is no longer for sale.

therein lies the rub...the dealer can keep it, put more miles on it and again decide to sell it as "new" later this year. The only thing new about that car will be the title once it is sold, because everything about the car is getting more used every day.

Here is the other side of the new/used thing.

I just bought an 06' GT that has just turned one year old.

That means I only get two years of warranty, however...

LOOK AT THE MILES :thumbsup

If you purchased it from a dealer and it was untitled, your 3 yr warranty should begin on the purchase date.

Thanks guys, but I bought it "used with 1 mile" from a member here that had 2.

He bought it a year ago, so I have 2 years left.

That's probably 2 years more than you will need. Congratulations and enjoy it.
