Front Boot Tub cover cracking

The material covering the tub appears to be appears to be drying - out in some spots; is this a common problem as these machines get older?

Will send him an email....I though about getting new material on it,but probably difficult to find something to match the OEM fiber.

I have never seen that in 400+ GTs I have had....

Agree with that. I had a windex bottle that heat caused to expand "too far" and the fuzzy covering came off.

Man that looks terrible...never seen one do that.

The cover isn't that bad..its over 300 and less than 700..depends on what deal you can get. The gasket around it sucks though. I remember it costing almost as much as the cover...I looked into getting a spare a couple of weeks ago just cause :)

i washed mine once, and opened the boot to run off the excess water... didn't realize it would run directly into the tub. I didn't think much beyond "i guess it will dry off, it's only water."

great. sounds like i have the same problem.
