Ford Still Has Original 2005-2006 Ford GT Window Stickers

Hi everyone,

I just discovered that Ford Show Parts offers a Ford GT Certificate package for 2005-2006 models, complete with a original window sticker!

I ordered mine recently and received it last week. Everything was well-packed, and it's amazing that Ford still offers this nearly 20 years later. They even had the original sticker for my GT, which was a pleasant surprise as the guy I spoke to metioned they only have some of the originals so I was excited to hear they had mine. It sounds like Ford only made two copies of the window sticker for each VIN back during the model years and they still have many of the second copies available. Highly recommend!

The summary is only one package exists per vehicle. If you're a new owner it won't hurt to ask if the package has been claimed by a previous owner but don't be disappointed if it has. I considered it part of the vehicle and included it with mine when I sold it.

All very cool stuff. For those new to the GT be aware that the GT was actually built at Saleen SSV in nearby Troy, Michigan. It then went to Wixom for engine, transmission and seats plus final inspection. The date shown on the build certificate is actually the Wixom date not when the majority of the car was assembled and the VIN cut. Part of the reason these cars are so good is that it was a completely hand built machine at both places. It was very well done. The car build books were not given out although some have theirs. Copies of some of those have been on this forum. That is why some cars may show more than one build date. Hard to believe 20 years ago now but still incredible.

I will have owned mine for 20 years this January 2026. I Watched it being built at both the Saleen plant in Troy and at our Ford Wixom plant . Took Photos at both plants.
I will verify that I have the kit …somewhere!

My car will be 20 at the end of May. I took delivery in November 2005 due to inclement weather. I actually paid for it around Labor Day. Dealer kept it locked up on a lift at home.

I "only" got to see both locations at Rally I, not our car on the line. At least I did the tour, twice at SSV. What a fantastic event that was, and the beginning of a good run of rally's.
