I noticed brack & clutch fluid is not mentioned in below? Is this per brake inspections or subject to use v. annual flush.

I didn't see where a brake FLUID change was scheduled (inspect the lines, 'yes', change the fluid, 'no')....nor a clutch fluid change. I'd toss those in there while you're at it if neither has been done before.

The basis is that the rubber in the belt will harden into it's static shape and its function may be compromised thereafter. Perhaps overly cautious, but the oil pump drive belt is something you absolutely do not want to take risks with. I could step you through it, Sam. It's a pretty easy process with your lift and both pans removed.

So, if I'm reading correctly here and through some of the other "belt" threads, an '06 with 8000 miles that is driven approx.1500 miles a year should not need the oil pump belt changed just yet?

I'm getting ready to service the car before the rally and want to have all my parts ready before hand.

Thanks, Jeff

Jeff,

Just for good measure, I would pull the belt cover off (at your next oil change) and inspect the belt and pulley and I wouldn't bother replacing it at such an early date.

Sounds good.
I'll be doing oil and coolant in the next 2-3 weeks, so I'll check it out then.

Thanks for the input.
