For those of you that weren't there, Multimatic sent down their Ford GT MkIV, and proceeded to absolutely hammer it all day giving attendees rides. Scott Maxwell is an absolutely unbelievable iron man for going lap after lap in hot conditions with no AC on what is a really physically taxing course for a car that fast. I've been in a lot of fast stuff, but honestly I've never been in anything remotely like that, and that was running Map 1. Hard to imagine the car has 300 hp more available when you're at a bigger course. Just a stunning, shocking, insane piece of hardware.
As part of the deal, I said to everyone I'd like them to donate at least $200 to charity. You can of course donate more, and I think that ride was worth a lot more than $200 to me! I asked Raj if he had a charity he liked and he is on the board of the Autism Alliance of Michigan. So, for those of you that were there, you can navigate to the following link and make a donation in support of Raj Nair and just post/email me when I'm done and I'll mark you off the list. Also, things got a little hectic there at the end of the day so if I have you on the list in error, or if I left you off, please let me know. I know a couple people gave me cash on site so I will just add that on your behalf.
Major thanks to the entire Multimatic team, Raj Nair, Larry Holt, Sean Mason and in particular the crew that came to Arizona with us - Garen Nicoghosian, Scott Maxwell, Tom Huschilt, Tony Benincasa, Scott Souza, Andrew Tonino, and Ron McIntyre. Garen and Tom gave an awesome breakdown of the original and development of the MkIV later in the week so it was a great experience to have them and the car around all week.
