I was looking at my bumper and thought wouldn't it be nice to just have a custom cut off butt finish to the rear rails (excluding what exhaust tips you would need to buy or re customise (I've got normal Accufab).

Surprised that none of the bumper suppliers + others haven't had this sort of set up with a cut your own and "click in" ends and buy pre finished rails.

You could leave (as I have) the lower vent screen off and show more rear end.Screen Shot 2021-12-24 at 8.08.11 am.pngScreen Shot 2021-12-24 at 8.08.11 am.png

GT guy offers all screen, and also the lower exit, if I recall. CDC makes the frame extensions, as I know I would never cut the OEM

Personally, I think those frame rail caps look like an afterthought. A bad one.

Frame extensions available on eBay fairly regularly So you can preserve your originals.

I did a little something different on my 2006 GT which afforded rear protection for insurance purposes!

Looks like a race car push start style bumper. I like it.

I do like the GT Guys regular bumper delete ........ but my spider monkey senses like like the high mount set up.

I looked on line for the GTGuys but couldn't find them (is that possible)

Ive got accufab now and a tip chop might be tricky (could be ok?) to keep away from the underside of the bend thats longer than the top side. Kendal mentioned the bend is close to the ideal cut location if you want it more tucked.

Would be easier for the reg GTGuys bump delete V's needing all the extra stuff for the high mount exit that needs their exhaust and lower plate re location.

High exit will require custom exhaust pipes.

it is cool but raises the complexity factor quite a bit.

When I was working on the GT Program, I had a similar thought; cut the frame rails short (or make my own) and have a body colored snap-on cap (3D printed?). That way you can use al the stock based parts.

Budget bumper delete, with Ford racing short tips. Just some similar mesh on the frame ends painted black.

GT Guy looks most OEM. I have seen many variants and the ones that require paint never match. The black rear on my car is wrapped.

Do we know what insurance issues (if any) arise when we do a bumper delete and need a rear end fix and the assessor finds no bumper outback that would've taken the shunt?

They look so good lowered, until you drive it.

Are the tips from the GT Guys kit?
How far do they stick out.
are they a tapered tip or vertical ?

Chips turn downs look ok

I take it 20's front and 21's rear are very hard on the ass-o-meter (look great for showing though)
19's and 21's been done I wonder
