My wife and I are headed to San Francisco for a wedding in May which just happens to be our 12th anniversary. We've been to SF probably 5-6 times together and I've been 50+ times for work and leisure. So we've seen most of the usual sights and done many of the tourist activities.

I know there are a bunch of NorCal guys on here and wondering what your take is on something special I could do for our anniversary. Ive thought about a float plane ride (done that) or something like that.

WIDE open to suggestions / thoughts on something special. Thanks!

Original Joes for dinner

Can't speak to "activities" because I haven't been there in years, but, dinner at the Top of the Mark is a must!

Dessert? Their Black Velvet cake. 'Best on the planet.

(Incidently, restaurants are my favorite activity!)

If this was 50 years ago, I'd dine at both "Ernie's" and the "Blue Fox," - both 5 star restaurants. But, alas, both are gone now....

Thanks Ralphie, that was very good info! LOL

Get in costumes for a gay pride/tranny parade. Soak up the culture.

Leaving.

Take the ferry over to Tiberon and have a great meal at Servino's. When you dock you will see it on the port side. Local organic ingredients make for a great stop. The Bruschetta is the best. A nice cruise past Alcatraz & Angel Island, you won't be disappointed. :thumbsup

Thanks guys!

Last year I went sailing at sunset by the islands, under the Golden Gate Bridge, etc. Appetizers and drinks were served. It was really beautiful.
