I had two reasons for absolutely wanting to install a fire extinguisher in my 2018 Ford GT, despite the limited space available.
The first reason was obviously to avoid the destruction of the car in the event of a fire.
The second reason was, in the event of an accident, to have something heavy, to break a window and get out of the car, in case it was impossible to open the door. A friend of mine got stuck in his 2005 for a very long time, got off the road and back on its roof.
The following photos show what I just did, myself.
Absolutely no discomfort for the feet, despite the two liters of compressed powder.
The two fixing screws are invisible, in the "glasses box".
The "glasses box", is obviously doomed, which is not serious because it is useless.
For a long time, I installed with "velcro", excellent storage pockets on each door. On the driver's side there is the manual for the car, the garage door remote control, a flashlight, various useful papers, and space for still other things.
The passenger is free to use the other as she wishes.
Note that it was necessary not to install the fire extinguisher on the side of the passenger, to leave room for the suitcase which slips under her legs.
Best regards.
