Unfortunately it's been a good long while since I've been on the forum, I've certainly missed the community. I had serial number 007 of the GTX-1s back in 2009-11, unfortunately couldn't hold on to the car for more than a few years due to poor financial decisions. Living proof that a fool and his money are soon parted. But anyway. I am moving and thought I would put this out and see if anyone is interested. It's been in a tube and a protected environment for the last decade, so I opened it and it looks as good as it did 15 years ago.
This is an "enhanced" canvas print, which means that it was printed on a canvas in high quality and then the artist, Camilo Pardo added a few highlights with an actual brush and re-signed the print by hand.
This is a big print like 30 in by 84 in I believe, so 2 1/2 ft * 7 ft, with a giant Carroll Shelby autograph. To encourage bidding, the auctioneers which I believe were friends of Carroll's, took many of the items to Mr. Shelby after the auction to be signed.
I had it on the wall of my house for a long time, but the last few years it's been in a tube hence the two different photos. The photos on the wall are at the house a decade ago, and the other two are just from a few days ago laid out on the bed of my RV as I was heading out on a new trip.
It has been out of the sun and protected so it looks as good as new, you just need to have it stretched over some cheap wooden frame and it would make a great addition to any man-cave or garage.
I bought this at the 2009 GT rally in Texas at their charity auction, and with an open bar things got out of hand, and I paid like 8 grand for this thing.
Just want to see if there's any interest in taking this off my hands for some kind of reasonable amount whatever makes sense as it's impossible to put an actual price on it I'm sure. I've had a few texts between 250 and $1,000, which I don't think that little number will work but the big ones real close.
We can use escrow.com to protect both parties.
You can probably just as easily text me directly at 913-207-9219 to get started, as I don't answer most unknown calls.
Any questions just send me a text. Thanks, Kelly
