Looks like something that may work well for my garage. Any opinions/comments would be appreciated.

Look pretty nice at first, but I saw where they state that it has a 67" height under it at full extension. For me that would be rather painfull.

There's a 77" version also.

I'd feel MUCH safer with 2 hoists side by side than going with this setup.

Besides, to get ONE car off the top you'd hafta move TWO cars below.

I don't see the benefit here. Can someone clue me in?

EP as always right on the money.
I have 3 lifts in my 3 car garage and no question even with one car on the bottom it does take some time to move things around. Double that for sure for this set up. The other thing, what is the cost difference?? I assume for the double set up it has to be much beefier to handle the weight on the free span basis. Cost of the double one vs 2 singles???

Good points, everyone. Looks like the cost is $10,500, not including shipping. Wow.

EP's point about moving two cars to get one down is key, though the cars I put up there probably wouldn't get used much...

Does anyone make a 6 post lift to hold 2 cars side by side, that can still be raised/lowered independently? I could have sworn I've seen one somewhere like that.

Unfortunately that would have pushed the cars on top through the ceiling by a foot or so in my garage.:bang

That I would doubt simply from the standpoint of marketability. I mean, there again, what would the real benefit be to 99% of people ordering such a hoist?

The only guy I can think of who'd be interested in a 6 leg unit would be the guy who's garage has a r-e-a-l "width" pblm and saving the extra 6"-10"(?) represented by having a 6 leg hoist vs. having TWO 4 posters side by side would be critical. And logically that's pbly a pretty small market, wouldn't you think, Doc?

H'mmmmmmm...I can think of two people right here locally who in fact COULD use a 6 legger for just that reason come to think of it!!!:lol

(So, shuddup, Pockets!)

EDIT: Actually, wouldn't those two MIDDLE LEGS on any 6 leg, "independent-up-and-down-on-each side" hoist, by necessity, have to be about twice as wide as the other legs on that hoist simply to house all the "plumbing"? If that's the case - there goes the "width" savings and the selling point with it.
