It will be interesting to see.. with model years 17,18,19, and 20 equating to the LeMans wins in 66,67,68,and 69, it seems that they have fulfilled that goal with the Heritage cars being #2, #1, #9, and #6... In 1970 Ford won the Trans AM series with Parnelli Jones' Orange and black #15 Boss 302... Maybe they could head in that direction. Whatever it takes to fill the time for 18 months!!!

Gentlemen,

After completing the run of #6 Gulf Heritage GT’s in the 2020 model year I’m going to predict a Heritage 2021 model that pays tribute to the 2016 GT win at Le Mans. My prediction is a SWAG of course and two factors arguing against it are the Bill Ford/Mark Field Heritage GT’s that certainly won’t be duplicated and that they’d require 3 colors. But perhaps a two color version substituting bare carbon for blue. More guessing. Then in 2022 perhaps something else special that hasn’t been offered before that has earlier buyers saying, “Damn, I wish that had been available when I ordered mine!” It’s all good. Whenever your window is, there will be something special. Enjoy the ride!

All excellent points Chip.

Whatever it is, I'm sure we wont be disappointed. Especially the 2022 3.7l 700+HP motor.

That would be very cool indeed but either way, I'm certain the wait will be worth it!

Did I miss something where the 2022 model year was going to have 700+ HP?

I think it’s going to be 760bhp or so.

I sure hope they do something special on the last year. Maybe the best come to those who wait? I hope that the FORD GT goes out with a !!!!! making everyone anticipate the NEXT Generation to come!

The 700HP plus would be an amazing upgrade since the MidEngine Corvette should be at full blast by 2022.

The 2022 Ford GT at 647HP is way underpowered for a supercar of 2022.

Hope they make the proper adjustments for 2022.

I visited MM last week to see my car. They appear to be ahead of schedule. Mine will be delivered June 7th. MM have a very nice operation and I would recommend the tour - it is worth the time.

Like Dr Frank said: no rhyme or reason. Spend time thinking of your custom color choice instead.

:)I'm going with stock yellow to match my 05 GT. Use the 25 K for my delivery party,

Gary, the current yellow is not a match to your 05 yellow.

Its very close. Ask Chip. He paid 25 K for a 05 match and implied to me he would have not paid the 25 and went with the new yellow instead.

Yes I had to pay $30,000 to change the shade of my yellow slightly. After seeing a Fisks Triple Yellow GT in the sun, in hindsight I would have gone that route and saved 25K (Triple Yellow is 5K instead of 30K). His car is every bit as pretty as mine. BUT.....yesterday I saw JBG's new white carbon series and holy shit it's pretty. The bare CF stripes are amazing. And John paid less for that car than I paid for mine. I definately would get a carbon series if building a GT today. All the best.
