Not sure about others, but I am getting tired of her very unsportsmanship conduct pre, race, post conduct.

Many a player has been the victim of bad breaks, accidents, majory injury and/or death in sports. One fan, noted she herself took out near half the field in her first Indy.

Her pit rage/confrontational antics sets a bad example for all, especially when kids are watching this marquis race and looking for rolemodels.

Motor-Racing still held on to old world vestiges of gentlemanly conduct and deference.

Something has been lost, maybe forever.:thumbsdow

Oh, I don't know. I seem to remember a few helmets being tossed at both individuals and their cars by "the guys", as well as more than one "in your face", toe to toe 'discussions' over the years. And how about A.J.'s famous tantrums? (Didn't he actually take a swing at somebody [during televised coverage] a few years back?)

Kayvan -

you must be smoking something if you expect virtous role models in motor racing.

The single goal of all racing drivers is to finish the race.

The personal displeasure rears its ugly face (aka anger) when something stupid causes the early end of a race. Whether or not it was caused by oneself or another driver.

The emotions of frustration, in Danica's case at Indy, were televised for all to see. I found it interesting that the commentators clearly choose to not try and define which driver was "more at fault than the other".

More than likely they were both at fault.

Penske's advice to his driver - R. Biscoe.

"Stay in your car and pull down your visor."

Now that says it all.... :eek

Fair point; Cohibas mostly.

Dont know, the usual antics of past of helmet throwing, etc seemed to have been fully deserved and instantaneous. This seems almost staged with pit stalking, video spin, and security stepping in etc. for some tire spin/hop technicality.

The role models I seek are the ones who can roll with the punches and live with some class and charisma...this seems abit whiney.

Seems like 3 other drivers crashed too and finished with more style.:wink

I would guess that the others that crashed were none too happy either.

(I have been told that I'm pretty uptight when "things" don't go right when I race.)

But then again they might not have the pressures of "expectation to do well" from all the press she gets. I heard /read that she did many 100's of interviews in the days prior to the race.

Kayvan my friend - no harm /no foul. Cohiba's it is! --Jeff

They're still talking about that fight.

Alain Prost & Ayrton Senna drove into one another. :bs

Tony Stewart and Robby Gordon have thrown a few. :bang

AJ, Mario, Michael, etc... have all had their times.

Actually I kinda liked seeing Danica get all fiesty :slap. It was the best part of the race. It broke up the million commercials and the endless camera shots of pensive wives, girlfriends, mothers, pit crew, some blonde walking by...geeeeez

I would think this statement true if Mickelson tried to punch out Tiger in GOLF.... But Racing? Any kind of it always has fights/arguments... Anything with high levels of testosterone in it will have fights/arguements.
As far as Danica Goes.... IMHO... she needs tooooo dooooo what she's been doing... why? How many of those guys said something/did something/insinuated something OFF of camera all these years? Alot of 'em did

Our children.... role models in a sport.... Show me a sport(popular) that has more role models in it than thugs.... ANSWER: RACERS and GOLFERS
ALL others have about 50-100 thugs/morons to their 1 role model (purely scientific guest:rofl)

DANICA is in a mans sport in a mans world (not how I see it/but she is) She handles herself SMART IMHO...

I rest my dadburn case! :lol :cheers :thumbsup

But, here's my question: What 'ZACTLY would/could she have done if she'd MADE it to her "target"?

I agree! It was ridiculous as it was a crowed pit road and obviously not intentional, hell if she would of been paying better attention she could of got out of the way there was still plenty of room between the wall and the right side of her car. It took 2 cars out of the race and I am sure the guy she hit was no happier about it then her, the actions she took would of been appropriate if it had been an on track incident. When I saw her walking to the guys pit I said to myself give me a break and grow up!

Can you imagine what would happen if she hit another driver and that driver smacked her back? Not to her, but the other driver would be fried for hitting a girl... Hope they are smart enough not to do anything but block....

I hears you, but I am not buying her shtick

She gets the benefit of the bikini shot and the attention & protection of the double standard if a guy fights back....

If Sarah Marshall cut here off, I SERIOUSLY doubt she would have done the same.

If I want to see staged/spin fights with booty I'll watch WWF

I just don't think she did the "HITTING" here.. She was hit. Also, drivers spin the tires leaving the pits, but rarely(if never) do you see the back-end of the cars slide WIDE. the the car that hit her, swung wide which shows me a driver too excited and somewhat out of control... When I'm on set and I have to slide a car around people/equipment, I'm expected to hit my marks and I get paid a LOT... I mean A lot LESS then them there drivers...

WWF??? Agreed which says to me... she's just another puppet like all the other drivers... in which case, she's then doing her job right...... no? yes?
