Alright, I'm tired of searching and googling. How do I contact Alex at T & A?

I've got an alignment question.

Since I'm here, you can chip in too. My Ford dealer didn't have the aluminum shims to align my car so they used steel ones. They didn't try to hide this info but told me after the job was done.

My question is, what do these shims ride against? Steel or aluminum? I'm concerned about steel wearing against aluminum. Ford spec'd aluminum for a reason.

The entire suspension assembly, the unique barrel shims, as well as the chassis is aluminum

You need to have the proper shims installed; on this there is NO doubt.

I would not accept the work as described.
Plain steel flat washers will work in an emergency repair.
But will corrode over time and cause problems with your Aluminum parts.

I would insist on the proper FGT Shims.

They were calibrated and developed for your car.

Thanks all, I've been out of touch.

There's nothing I hate worse than having to have a difficult job done over. It was a pita to get the lowered car on the alignment rack. My diffuser is now cracked and the dealer ordered a new one so I was hoping I would never have to do this again. I don't want to break another one.

I'll run it for awhile and then have it done correctly somewhere else.
