I have used clear bra on my previous cars and I was not to pleased with the results. My prior cars were black so maybe that has a lot to do with it.

The problems I had with the clear bra was, when pollen spots got on the film and you wiped it off, it removed the sheen of the film leaving a noticeable spot.

The other problem was it looked like a film on the hood and fenders. I had a full wrap and the color just looked “different”. Again, maybe this is because the car was black.

Has any one had success with a “Clear Bra”? Can any one recommend an installer?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Had Shelby at EliteAutos LLC do my Heritage before taking it to Rally V and turned out looking great to my untrained eye. Coverage was fairly extensive to protect majority of the car. Give him a call and I'm sure he can pass along details about what he does and material he uses.

Sounds like you had the older generation film. It was easier to install but chemicals, sap and bird droppings would dull the vinyl it as you described. The newest 3M clear bra vinyl which is really Venture film (3M bought Venture) doesn't have that short comings and looks great provided you get a good installer as other have mentioned. Everybody has a favorite installer, just be sure to look at their work. The better installs have the edges wrapped rather than cut.

Your problem is the car is black. I have a blakc car, looks great until I move it and then it is dirty. Your clear bra will always be noticeable on a black surface as it will reflect light enough to see the effect of the plastic. I have tungsten, can only see it on close up. I think any clear plastic product will always be noticeable on black surfaces.
