Our 3rd annual GT get together is now over & we still couldn't get anyone new to come join us. Dinners, the car show & fun went by too fast. All of us were told of w. mitty sightings here in Chicago but he was in stealth mode. IndyGT, DriveBy, Dr Frank & myself met again. Next year we'll do it once more.

Doh! I was in Chicago, and close to the show, but I was on a short leash...had to arrive, close a car deal, and leave, all within about 4 hours. Sorry I missed you! It was colder than a well digger's watch fob, that's for sure.

The Viper is a competitor!

I like the new Ford truck too.

Love the AMC prototype. Hard to believe they could do that. Did I read they made 4 or 6? That would make them more valuable than some silly questionable leather upholstered export Cuda vert right? :lol

Other than that, The Atlas and Vette steal the show.

Funny how the new Viper had no one around it in the picture, while the C7 was elbow to elbow crowd..

New viper is disappointing. Maybe its just the angle but it looks off!!!

The new Vette definitely was the hit of the show. I don't think many people realized the Viper was the new one as it is so similar to the past ones.Lot of cool old cars, concept cars & new cars. Unlike SEMA all the models were dressed ultra-conservatively. Plus there were even a few male models. The Chicago Auto Show is the longest running show in the USA (in the world?). It's every February since 1901. If you want to go with us as a GT group in 2014 let me know.

Sure glad I decided to buy an old, used Ford GT rather than a new Viper.

Humm, go to Chicago in February for an auto show. No thanks. Much as I love my home town there is a reason I moved to Florida after I retired.

Wonder why Dodge doesn't design a Viper around a smaller V8 Turbocharged Hemi? Seems like getting away from the long V10 would permit them to get rid of the long front end and accomplish a drastic body change.

To the contrary, I've always wondered why Mopar didn't stuff a V-12 into the Viper from its beginning 2 decades ago. The fact it wasn't done has always bugged me.

And for a while after Fiat bought Chrysler I thought maybe a Ferrari V12 might accidentally slip across. Nope.

Hey Campgreenlake - Chicago was in the 50s today. The same as Florida! But the show is actually indoors. I live in CA so I left 70 degree weather to see cool cars & hang out with my GT buddies. Sacrifice!
