Was in Chicago for the week at a meeting. Was out Thursday afternoon, dropped into the bentley dealership, they had an 06 red, stripe delete, with side tape, 2000 miles, at around $164K best looking car in the dealership , including the bentleys and the lambos. :biggrin

That's one of my favorite dealerships. Several years ago, a brother and I pulled up in front of their storefront in a very cheap compact rental car and asked a female sales rep if we could take a SL55 for a test drive. Used ones were selling for 25-30k more than the original msrp and we wanted to see what all the fuss was about. The only info she had was my name and cell number which was enough for her to hand us the keys. We owned Lake Shore Drive for about 45 minutes, satisfied our curiosity and chalked it up as a great experience. You got to love a dealership like that. :cheers

Kirby,

We had to decline their invitation to drive the convertible Bentley about 6 times. We were headed to McCormicks and Schmicks for some seafood and to watch the Cubs vs the White Sox. They were more than accomomdating, but difficult to say no thank you to for a test drive.

Top class dealership.

Substitute "coupe" for "convert" and 'wifey & I had the same experience at the Lambo dealer in 'Vegas. 'Turned down a test drive in said Bentley 3 times 'cause when 'wifey found out what that car COST she said up front she didn't want a $200K car "to go shopping and run errands in"! So, I informed our sales gal I wasn't going to put miles on their car for nothing.

Regardless of that, our sales gal [Eden Hatley] insisted SHE take 'wifey back to The Wynn in the Bentley...while their service mgr and I follow in the F360 Spydee they were dropping off at Wynn/Pensky Ferrari!!! Now, come on! Dealer attitude just duzzunt get any 'gooder' than that! :thumbsup:thumbsup)

(Edit: And this was BEFORE the economy crashed!) ('Back in late '05 I think.)

Great stories guys. There is no substitute for making a potential customer feel that you are willing to go the extra mile for them. :thumbsup

That dealership (Lambo Gold Coast) was just bought a few months ago by the same guys that own Fox Valley Motorcars/Lambo Chicago...the fox valley guys are great! they let me take out the demo LP560 last year and have a lot of happy customers in the Chicago area.

The old owner of Lambo Gold coast...well lets just say the experience was quite a bit different. He was the former owner of luxury motors...which has been written up on quite a few forums. It seems things have changed alot since Fox Valley took over.
