Greetings All

Finally getting around to posting photos of the carbon mirrors we have been making.

These included a new motor, harness, and mirror. They utilize all of the original factory attachments.

Interested parties, please PM me.

Sorry for the poor photos... These are like shooting a spherical mirror....

Cheers all!

From what I understand, the single DIN is standard in the mounting dimensions for the radio in the GT and are 7.086614173 x 1.968503937 inches or (180 x 50 mm). Double DIN are similar to the head units with Nav, LCD, etc and are 7.086614173 x 3.937007874 inches or (180 x 100 mm).

OK, I'm getting warmer. What does DIN stand for? I'm assuming it is an acronym for something. (Dimension Internal Nacho)......Naaa, that's probably not it.

Very cool Kip. I'm not into all the carbon fiber stuff but I definately am into the fine craftmanship that comes out of your shop. Nice work!

Deutsches Institut für Normung. It is the standard size for car audio receivers.

International standard ISO 7736 defines a standard size for car audio head units. The standard was originally established by the German standards body Deutsches Institut für Normung as DIN 75490, and is therefore commonly referred to as the "DIN car radio size". It was adopted as an international standard in 1984.

Head units generally come in either single DIN (180 x 50 mm panel) or double DIN (180 x 100 mm panel) size. The depth is not standardized.

Of course!

I'd prefer any definition with Nachos, though - preferably with a HUGE bowl of guacamole. :biggrin

Gentlemen,

Thank you! I have never asked a question on this Forum that I have not received an excellent answer to. The Ford GT Forum has expanded my knowledge base. It has done absolutely nothing to make me younger or better looking however.
